2009 Rita Levine Award

Daniel Truchan, III, of the Student Association, has been presented the 2008-2009 Rita Levine Award for excellence. This award is given each year to a student leader for outstanding service in Student Association. The award coincides with March 3rd, which is Rita Levine Day. Rita Levine was the Director of Operations for Student Association for eighteen years (1977-1995). This award is one of many ways that her legacy of dedication, hard work, continuity, and extraordinary support of students live on at the University at Albany. We are very thankful to her for her years of service and for her recognition of Dan’s exceptional service to Student Association. Rita passed away on May 31st, 2008. Many thanks to Joyce Dormady, Rita’s daughter, and the rest of Rita’s family for presenting this award posthumously.
